ProCompression Socks Review and Christmas Giveaway

Merry Christmas to you all! I had a great Christmas Eve with Manfriend. I (successfully) made Goulash and he ate a whole bunch. Manfriend is a picky eater, so when something new I make is a success I make a mental note. We also exchanged one present and I got a video game I wanted and Manfriend got one too. It was great.

In honour of my 1000th twitter follower I wanted to be able to share my favourite running product with you. I wouldn’t have made it through this year without PRO Compression Socks. As many of you know, I faced a brutal shin splint monster in the beginning of my half marathon training and there is no way I would have been able to run more than 3 or 4 km at a time without these socks.

I was doubtful before I purchased my first pair.  A pair of socks helping me get over shin splints? How!?

In a nutshell, PRO Compression Socks help your muscle recovery by increasing the blood flow to your lower extremities. They helped my legs feel less fatigued, more stable, and generally more energized.  And they are made right here in North America (the USA) which makes it even better!

Not only are they great for running, but they are excellent for other workouts and for recovery. I bought my first pair (pink, obviously) three months ago and haven’t had an issue with my shin splints since.

I didn’t believe it until I got to try it. My legs looked ridiculous on the way to the gym.

And then I had my happy face on when I was done. It says it all. I had finished my 12km and felt AMAZING! These socks are incredible. I now own three pairs. I use two for running and one for recovery – for any run over 3 or 4km. Which is a lot of them!
